Eastwood Heights Elementary proudly hosted a heartfelt Veterans Day celebration on November 10th to honor the brave men and women who have served our country and are part of our school family.
The gymnasium was filled with patriotic spirit, thanks to the dedicated efforts of our decorating committee. The event began with a warm and personal touch, as our Student Ambassadors greeted each veteran upon arrival, setting a welcoming and respectful tone for the afternoon.
The program was rich with performances designed to show our gratitude:
- The Eastwood High School JROTC presented the colors with solemn precision.
- The Eastwood High School Show Choir delivered a stunning performance.
- The youngest members of our school community, the Pre-K students, delighted the audience with an adorable rendition of "Yankee Doodle."
Following the formal program, our honored guests were treated to a delicious luncheon featuring nachos and lemonade, with serving assistance from our fantastic parent volunteers. The celebration concluded with a fun and competitive game of Patriotic Bingo, where veterans had a chance to win delicious Bundt Cakes generously donated by the PTA.
Eastwood Heights extends its deepest thanks to all the veterans and their families for their sacrifice and service. Your presence made this celebration a truly memorable and meaningful event for our entire school community.
