military kids holding certificated

Our school proudly turned purple on Friday, April 11th, as students and teachers united in wearing the color of support for our incredible military children! This special Purple Up Day, dedicated to honoring their unique sacrifices and resilience, was a success thanks to the wonderful coordination of our school counselor, Mrs. Serrano.

We took the opportunity to personally acknowledge these young heroes by presenting each of our military kids with a special certificate of recognition – a small token of our immense gratitude for their adaptability of their families.

Adding a powerful and personal touch to the day, we were honored to welcome members of our local military community. They generously shared their time, connecting with our students by reading a thoughtful book about deployment. This provided a relatable and understanding perspective for our military children.

The energy levels soared as everyone participated in fun exercise drills, offering a glimpse into the discipline and teamwork often associated with military life. Perhaps most impactful, our military guests took the time to speak to the children about their diverse careers within the armed forces.

Purple Up Day was a vibrant demonstration of our school's collective commitment to supporting and celebrating our military-connected students. We extend a heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Serrano for her dedication in making this special day a memorable one for our young heroes!
