summie award

Eastwood Heights Elementary has proudly secured a spot as the 5th-place finalist for this year’s prestigious Summies award! Out of more than 4,000 Texas campuses using Summit K12, our school was recognized for its outstanding work with emergent bilingual students. The Summies honor schools that have shown excellence in improving TELPAS scores, maximizing Summit K12 usage, and implementing impactful instructional strategies.

Our dedicated teachers, Mrs. Armendariz and Mrs. Lucero, along with our principal, Mrs. Blair, have been instrumental in helping our TELPAS students reach impressive milestones. Together, they traveled to Austin to receive this prestigious award, joining other top finalists from across the state. Congratulations to our entire Eastwood Heights community for this outstanding achievement!
